Heavy Rain, Shattered Memories and Dead Rising 2 were good and interesting Mafia 2 and Mass Effect 2 were alright but nothing special. I didn't really like a lot of games released this year. As you can see, I borrowed my friend's PS3 for a while in January and February. Additionally, I spent much of the year working on my thesis, which meant plenty of freedom planning wise, and another complete month of free time at the end of the year after I had graduated. I started the year on break after having been on an internship until late 2009.

We want to thank the wonderful folks over at Mapcore for hosting this sick competition, and a big ol shoutout to our sponsor Humble Games (who publish Prodeus), for making a large contribution to our prize pool this time around. This was a great year for gaming - quantity wise, that is. Excalibur Gauntlets + Biker Gloves (skins)Īll of the winners will also be showcased on our Youtube channel, and because we had so many amazing entries, we’ll be showcasing parts of our Staff Picks too. Special winners role on the Prodeus Discord Excalibur Shotgun and Gauntlets (skins) Now Revolution is on the right track, but unless they come up with something more than nunchaku, it will miss some great potential, they offer us the perfect interface for many games, but at the same time give us the worst possible interface for fighting games for example. Simulator, joystick or wheel & pedals for pad?Ĭonsoles have a big problem on this department, the pad just works for so few games, and if you are trying to give me immerse FPS experience and "loose" me in to the action or realistic simulator and make me thing that I actually am a mech pilot or a race car driver, you have to do better than a batarang. Just like for RTS games, the pad doesn't just cut it.įPS games, who trades mouse & keyboard for a pad?

Halo and Metroid series are prime (aha prime) examples of that, but what they are saying is that consoles has possibly, totally the worst user interface for controlling such games. Oh, I think that no one that said so didn't mean that the game itself sucked, like medal of honor series has had some great moments, nice story, and quality all the way. People are still complaining that fps's on consoles suck? I though halo proved that they dont years ago
